Alaska!

Sally and Team did all the legwork on our trip to Alaska, which included a night pre cruise, the cruise line itself and a couple nights after. They were amazing in setting us up on the right way to do things--like rental car, hotels in interior Alaska as we ventured off on our own. We even threw in a change in plans one week prior to departure and Sally hooked us up quite nicely with accomodations and ideas. I LOVED not having to think about planning! Sally was amazing! It all went quite smoothly. What was your favorite part of the trip?: Denali National park which we did on our own with a rental car. I loved the cruise, but , the beauty in the interior!! WOW!

Father Son graduation trip..

Hi Sally

Happy to tell u Alex and I had a unique and terrific experience, at every stop, learned and saw so much, really a masterful itinerary , think we will continue to process things and feel this got Alex off to an excellent start in lifelong learning , a treat to spend the dedicated time together Thanks!!

Each tour offered something special , only one bad guide at Vatican museum (couldn't understand her well and content more superficial than desired) otherwise mostly excellent guides, appreciated the breaks u gave us and we mostly kept moving, all the vouchers worked, only place we got stood up was on return to Syracuse with the airport ride I arranged, all the accommodations excellent, particularly the Indigo in Rome really makes u feel welcome,  would love to bring my wife to Rome, will try to touch base more in coming week

Family Vacation in Italy

Vagabond travel did an amazing job of making our once in a lifetime family vacation fantastic and very memorable!

We had a wonderful experience in Italy. Sally and the team provided excellent guidance, recommendations and communication throughout the process. We toured Venice, Florence and Rome. The trains between cities were awesome and convenient. The wine tour in Chianti was amazing. Our tour guide (Massimo Clemente) was the best! The hotel choices for Venice (Hotel Pausania) and Florence (Grand Hotel Baglioni) were perfect for us. The hotel in Rome (Domus Liberius) was a bit difficult for 6 people to manage. Very small, old and slow elevators. Took a few trips get us all and our luggage up to the rooms. That being said, the rooms were beautiful and clean. For an individual or couple this would be a great choice.

I highly recommend all the choices that the Vagabond team suggested for us.

Uniworld European Jewels River Cruise

This was one of the most pleasurable vacations we have ever experienced. Uniworld cruises is a class act. I would recommend them, as a matter of fact I already have several times, to anyone contemplating a Europeon river cruise. It was all so wonderful, it would be difficult to pinpoint any one thing.   We are very pleased with the agency and staff and would recommend them to anyone.

Discover Northern France

We recently took a bus trip around Northern France with Gate 1 through Vagabond. Vagabond was easy to work with and responsive to questions and concerns. It was a tremendous experience. The French people were very pleasant, including Paris. The sights on this trip are spectacular and just keep coming one after another. Gate 1 tour guide and bus driver went out of their way to provide extras when they could, despite having to work around flooded streets in Paris and the countryside due to unusually heavy rains. I can't believe the places that bus went; narrow crowded streets abound in France but didn't stop our driver. We even enjoyed the American and British Airways flights to and from France since they were on time and uneventful. The only negative ironically was that some of the food was repetitious. Even though we were in different sections of the country, the chefs made virtually identical meals. Other than that, the bread, croissants, quiche, fruits and vegetables…were all fresh and tasted great with lots of chances to try local specialties like rabbit and duck (no, we did not have escargot or frog legs). I am not a wine drinker but those who were enjoyed themselves tremendously. So, overall, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Great trip.

Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach were our favorite parts of the trip. Just no way to describe the feeling of being there where the fighting occurred. A close second was all the chateaus; very beautiful and amazing to see.
